Avatars

Hey guys & gals, if you have any favorite Spyro images you wish could be an avatar choice on the boards here, post with a link to the image here. I have plenty of older images myself, but I thought I'd give you guys a chance to chime in.

Remember, the best avatars are a nice clean shot of the character or main object. Trying to make out what is in a collage at 64x64 would be mighty hard. Anyway, can't guarantee any or all of the images you can link for me will end up as avatars on the boards here, but I have a feeling I can influence at least some of them getting in *wink*

Yes, what I am saying, is if you have a particular image you wish that could be an avatar, upload it somewhere and link it here in this discussion, and I will do my best to get it approved as an actual board avatar to choose from.

I recall this being a brief topic on the forum suggestions thread...

Anyway, letting users freely upload their chosen avatars would mean that the moderators and administrators (and any others I failed to cover) would have next to no control on what avatars and how many are uploaded. It may even be possible that this forum has a "budget" as to how much server space can be allocated to avatars and users could easily exceed this mark.

There may be other reasons as well, just none that come instantly to my mind

Those look an awful lot like Crash Bandicoot characters. I thought it was about Spyro.

Yep. Acti owns Crash, so I might as well post the wanted Crash avatars here. ^_^

Crash is an ORIGINAL character.

I just made 64x64 avatars of all the pictures posted so far (except Crash Mania and that space ship for obvious reasons).





Some of them are really small though. I don't know if you wanted an avatar of the character's face or some other part.

I don't mind if you post Crash avatar requests here, since I'm the Crash moderator too, but to be fair, I should post over there so the rest know we are doing it here

Thanks for making 64x64 images of the requests so far, but yeah, I think most of them should be close-ups on the face, as just a couple worked as full body shots. No worries, because we'll get them nice.

Just a heads up, I didn't forget about this thread, I just allowed some time to pass to collect your suggestions. I've created avatars for a lot of your requests, plus some others from nice DotD shots I had of the main characters and elders, and sent them in to the admin, so hopefully we'll see them on the boards as options soon

Yeah, I think we can still fit a few more Spyro avatars, so we can collect some more. You two have some nice ones. I can even brighten/sharpen some of those you posted. Anyone else have requests or suggestions?
